With over a decade of experience in course design and curriculum work, including peer reviewed work in the field, I can help you build a course, a first-year experience, or an entire disciplinary curriculum from the ground up. My practice is founded in research and several of the most effective methodologies, including problem-based learning, decoding the disciplines, and cutting edge research on how students learn, particularly in first-year programs, including writing.

I have extensive experience with designing curriculum to meet institutional goals and accreditation requirements, in addition to departmental outcomes and benchmarks. I assist clients in designing successful, outcome-driven courses and curricula, as well as assessments that give you the information you need to keep improving.

My work always actively promotes and implements DEI best-practices, especially anti-racist and disability-inclusive pedagogies.

Customized Course and assignment design services

Whether you need help developing a new course, or advice on designing and scaffolding assignments to boost student achievement, I assist clients in all stages of course design, including low and high stakes assignments, exam-writing/editing, and day-to-day classroom activities. I can even help you craft syllabi and policy statements (e.g. grading philosophy) for review by students or administrators. I balance high-level creativity with rigorous, out-come driven design. Each consultation is individualized and tailored to suit your specific institutional and disciplinary needs.

Short on time? I offer individualized training or hands-off set-up in several Learning Management Systems (Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, D2L, etc). I also offer writing services to craft course specific assignment sheets, quizzes, exams, and more. I provide additional templating and drafting services to cover items like syllabi, grading policies/philosophies, and all of the above!
